Urban Ecosystem Restorations (UER), the nonprofit that brought the Butterfly Commons to the Lakelands, is planning several educational workshops designed to help community members who are interested in gardening with native plants and improving stormwater management in your neighborhood.  We have several events on the calendar. Saturday, July 31st 10-11AM in person in the City of Gaithersburg: UER Rainbarrel workshop. Learn how to size, install and maintain a rain barrel.
Tuesday, August 10th 7:30PM-8:30PM webinar: Finding the Right Natives for Your Yard.  Urban Ecosystem Restorations Healthy Habitats program will share our favorite native plants that work well in many gardens including many that are deer resistant! We'll also share tips to help keep your garden looking great while also providing habitat and food for our pollinators and birds. There will be time to ask questions following the presentation.
