ISC Sustainability Research Symposium Abstract Submission
On behalf of ISC, we would like to thank you for your interest in presenting at the ISC Sustainability Research Symposium! As a student presenter, you will take part in a judged poster presentation session that will allow you to showcase the work you have done in lab, while also receiving feedback from sustainability and research judges about your presentation. To encourage social distancing amid the current pandemic, the Research Symposium will be held online. We are currently investigating different options for doing so, and we greatly encourage you to submit your abstract. See the important note below regarding ongoing research that has been put on hold.

For the virtual presentation contest, you will be judged by both a sustainability judge and a research judge. The sustainability judge will assess your ability to convey how your research project relates to sustainability and/or advances sustainability research. The research judge will evaluate your ability to discuss your research methods and summarize major conclusions from any experiments/tests you have performed. Your presentation should be no more 10 minutes, and will be judged by both the sustainability and research judge. Prizes will be awarded based on the combined scores from both judges. The deadline is May 13th, 2020 and the deadline to submit your recorded presentation will be May 16th, 2020.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your project does not need to be complete in order to present, and we encourage those with limited experimental data to present on the background of their project and the techniques that will be used to complete that project. All presenters should focus broadly on the progress that has been made, future directions of the project, and the impacts of the research you are doing. For general tips on designing and presenting a poster, check out the ISC Facebook page.
