Requesting an Extension
If you cannot meet the deadline for submitting the capstone manuscript (last day of regular classes in the semester you graduate), you may request an extension. An extension of 2 weeks or less can be made by e-mailing the Director of Undergraduate Research. In the message, please try and estimate when you will be able submit the manuscript. It is the student’s responsibility to follow up if they cannot meet the two-week extension.

For extensions of more than 2 weeks past the original deadline, the student must file this electronic form. This extension CANNOT go past the beginning of the coming semester (in Summer, the 10-week Semester), so please check those dates carefully. Completion of the Capstone by the end of the extension is necessary to fulfill the “Honors Diploma” designation on the student’s transcript.
