Proud to Be First: Faculty Connect 2020-2021 Form for Faculty
We are thrilled that you are interested in Proud to Be First's Faculty Connect Program. The goal of Faculty Connect is to facilitate the development of meaningful academic, research and pre-professional connections between second-year, first-gen students and faculty. This year, we invite students and faculty to consider, in particular, how research can shape their academic, co-curricular, and pre-professional journeys here at CAS and beyond.

The time commitment for Faculty Connect is a mere three hours over the semester: Each faculty-student pair meets for coffee and pastries courtesy of Proud to Be First. In the second half of the semester, the same student-faculty pairs meet for lunch at NYU’s Torch Club, also courtesy of Proud to Be First, to continue their conversations. The total time commitment is a mere three hours over the entire semester (although we encourage you to meet more often if you like!). Meetings can include conversations on any or all of the following: research/academic interests, questions about the college experience and beyond, graduate school, professional issues, and trajectories and allied fields.

For more information on Proud to Be First we encourage you to see our website: http://cas.nyu.edu/content/nyu-as/cas/proudtobefirst.html.
