New Orleans PPE Distribution Volunteer Contact Form - 504HealthNet
Volunteer with #NOLAPPE!
New Orleans hospitals and health centers are scrambling to meet a huge spike in demand for PPE (personal protective equipment) as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many efforts, large and small, have sprung up to solve this problem, with varying speeds and levels of expertise in the complicated systems that make up this space. In the meantime, frontline healthcare workers are treating COVID-19 positive patients without the necessary gear.
This project is made possible by 504HealthNet, a membership-based organization comprised of 23 non-profit and governmental organizations from the Greater New Orleans area who provide free or low-cost primary care to low-income New Orleanians. The organization’s 60+ service locations provide imperative care, Covid-19 screenings, treatment, and ICU services. With your help we will be able distribute the Personal Protective Equipment and gear needed for workers and patients to stay safe.
We need couriers with cars and bikes to pick-up pre-packaged PPE from our distribution hubs around the city and deliver PPE to vetted HCP at locations throughout New Orleans. We need folks to verify pickup and drop-off locations, monitor logistics, and make sure our frontliners get the PPE they need.
