The Reinert Center is now accepting registrations for courses in distance teaching, which are offered completely asynchronously online through Canvas. These sessions can be taken alone or applied for credit in our Certificate in Online University Teaching Skills. Information can be found on our website at
https://www.slu.edu/cttl/certificate-program/online_teaching_skills.php. The Introduction to Distance Teaching course is a pre-requisite to taking the other courses.
Introduction to Distance Teaching provides a pedagogical foundation for Saint Louis University faculty who are new to the online teaching environment. It is a pre-requisite to enroll in the other online workshops on distance teaching.*
Please note: for faculty who have not received preparation related to teaching in the online environment, this course or its equivalent is now required for teaching distance courses at SLU. Learn more about general requirements for SLU faculty teaching online, including expectations for using SLU’s Distance Course Design Rubric and the Peer Review Process at

To register, please complete the form. If a session does not have a minimum of 5 participants we reserve the right to ask you to move to another session.
