Volunteering Job descriptions: All assistants will be mentored to help with the role and learn to assume the role once the person leading that position needs a break.

Prayer committee –
 Meet at least every other month to pray for all things home schooling. Remember our families as well as our relationships in our families, churches and neighbourhoods. Pray for our governments and laws that effect our home schooling. Pray for home schooling advocates such as those that work in leadership, OCHEC and HSLDA to name a few. Are there specific needs in our group? Bring them before the Lord.
 Email specific prayer requests that may be shared with CCHE to the chairperson to distribute to the group.
 Generate an entry for the agenda for a general monthly prayer request.

In Training Board positions -
 Consider which position interests you. Come out to board meetings and be mentored into a role as they become available.

Management of Directories - Take the information collected by registrar and organize it, sending it to the printer. Ensure the delivery of directories in the most cost effective way.

Meeting Coordinators –
 Supply educational ideas for monthly group meetings to the CCHE board.
 After approval contact speaker and secure a venue.
 Supply email coordinator with a brief speaker’s bio as well as the title and summary of topic to be covered.
 2019 meeting dates are the 3rd Saturday of the month from 7 -9 p.m.

Refreshment Coordinator –
 Supply refreshments for monthly meetings. Bring a small amount of cream and milk to each meeting.
 Make sure there are enough supplies of cups (juice and coffee), sugar and napkins. These can be stored at your home.
 Contact members who offered to bring snack for the meeting.
 Set up coffee, hot water for tea and other hot beverage, and a cool drink plus water.
 Be available to buy hot dogs/buns, cook them and set up for yearly Kickoff.

Meeting Committee – Be there prior to the meeting so that you can organize the speaker, chair set up etc.

Book Reviewer –
 Read a book from our library or one recommended for the benefit of our group and submit a review once a month.

Table Storage –
 Store CCHE’s 6 large fold up tables. These are often used for COOP

CCHE equipment storage –
 Store soccer and baseball equipment storage – people who coordinate the sport/art class need to arrange a time with you to pick up the equipment.

CCHE Volunteer Coordinator – dealing with the collection and distribution of information in this document.
 Consider list of volunteer tasks in April. Send proposed changes to CCHE chairperson in early May. Update them as needed after board consultation. Maybe setting it up in a google doc for final selection will work more smoothly. In this case make sure that each member has the opportunity to see the whole list before making their selection.
 Consult members who are presently volunteering in a position whether they are willing to continue in the following year. Place their names on the list to be emailed.
 CCHE email coordinator will email the volunteer opportunities list to group in the summer.
 Take the volunteer submissions and organize which member will be assigned to which task, contacting them once the decision is finalized. Be sure that the workload is spread evenly and ensure that all members have a niche to serve in.
 Share complete signup data with the board. Send list of volunteers and their respective jobs to the board.

Organizer – Fairs – Geo Mission, Architecture, Project; Drama etc.
 Work with specific events coordinators and plan dates and venues. Arrange for venue availability and determine payment and time.

Coop Coordinators –
 Plan dates in correspondence with field trip coordinator.
 Arrange venue to rent for 6 weeks in fall and spring.
 Encourage all members to suggest classes to teach.
 Choose which classes will be offered.
 Send out google document for sign up.
 Collect and distribute funds for classes.
 Arrange group to clean up after COOP.
 All the other details...

Overall Sporting Coordinator – except COOP sports
 Before January meet with specific coordinators to plan which events require venues, i.e. hockey, baseball (6 weeks September to October), track and field in May or June (2 dates, consider Saturdays – 1 practice and 1 event day; Fields/track i.e. Monsignor Doyle, Equipment i.e. Cambridge Christian School and port-a–potty) and soccer (6 weeks in May to June).
 Rent rinks and fields from the city in January.
 Share dates and venue with field trip coordinator to ensure there is minimal double booking. Sports should not overlap with CCHE COOP.
 Fill out and hand in request for funds form.
 Contact treasurer for cheque if approved by the board for funding.
 Request from the treasurer necessary insurance coverage if needed. Allow time for her to arrange this with the insurance company. Supply e-address to send the required form.
 Supply individual sport coordinators with the paperwork that ensures the dates and times for the event.

Theatre Coordinator
 Contact the Stratford Festival Theatres, Hamilton Players Theatre, or organize another play at a local theatre. This position can be held by a few different individuals. Volunteer must notify the Chairperson in time for the monthly agenda and be the contact for homeschool families.

Bowling and Chess/Games Coordinator-
 Be the contact for the location of these clubs, contact the Chairperson in time for the monthly agenda and Organize families interested accordingly.

Field Trip Organizer-
 Pass all dates and information to the Chairperson in time for the monthly agendas.
 Encourage members to get involved with planning educational and interesting field trips for the benefit of the whole group.
 Offer advice on planning and running field trips. i.e. remind people to send thank you notes.
 Remind people of upcoming annual events that need to be organized i.e.: Kick-Off, Soccer, Baseball, Project Fair…. Try to have these events scheduled well in advance and evenly spaced throughout the year.
 Remind members to ensure that children behave in a respectful manner.

Individual Sport Organizer – soccer, hockey, baseball, track and field.
 Advertise event with the CCHE chairperson.
 Collect sign up and sign in sheets which are to be passed to the chairperson or secretary at the events finish.
 Communicate with coaches or parent helpers as to their duties. We are a volunteer association. Parental involvement is expected.
 Place children in groups.

Graduation Committee-
 A group of individuals that work together to set up a location, date, ceremony, invites, music etc.
