Registration for SENĆOŦEN Language Program at Bayside Middle School - September 2020

Students will experience…

• SENĆOŦEN Language - 2 blocks per week
• Basic functional level SENĆOŦEN instruction
• W̱SÁNEĆ cultural component to increase awareness and appreciation
• Students will develop the skills needed to interact with people in SENĆOŦEN
• Students will understand, appreciate and participate fully in SENĆOŦEN culture
• Students will experience opportunities for authentic communication

The program is open to all students; however, in the event that the number of students registering is too large for a class (and too small for a second class), students will be selected for the program using the following criteria:

• W̱SÁNEĆ Ancestry, First Nations Ancestry
• Sibling already in the SENĆOŦEN program
• Evidence of previous participation in a SENĆOŦEN Language Program

When you complete this registration form your child will be enrolled in the SENĆOŦEN Language Program for three years unless you, as the parent/guardian, contact the school to indicate otherwise.
