Hawaiian Kō (Sugarcane) Workshop with Dr. Noa Kekuewa Lincoln

Cost: Free (Space is limited)

Join the author of the new book, Kō: An Ethnobotanical Guide to Hawaiian Sugarcane Cultivars to discuss the history, growing, identification, and application of heirloom Hawaiian sugarcane. Please come ready to be outdoors in any weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring your own water and snacks. At 4:30 pm, participants may return for a tasting of fresh squeezed sugarcane juice, comparing different cultivars.

COVID Policy: This is an in-person, outdoor workshop that will follow all CDC, State of HI, and County of Maui recommendations and policies. If policies change to restrict gatherings, this free class will be cancelled. Participants are required to wear a mask (no face shields, gaiters, or masks with exhalation valves) the entire time they are on site.
