Hello, my name is Melanie Thorn and I am the AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassador for Watershed Management Area (WMA) 14 - Mullica. The AmeriCorps New Jersey Watershed Ambassadors Program is designed to raise awareness about water issues throughout NJ. The program places 20 AmeriCorps members in each of NJ's 20 Watershed Management Ares (WMAs). Each Ambassador works to improve the quality of NJ's waterways, nurture community-based environmental activities, and empower residents to make responsible decisions in their watersheds. To learn more about the program visit our
website!
This event is part of a larger initiative called Projects in the Parks. Each Ambassador will be hosting an event with a State Park, Forest, or Historic site in March!
