Audition Registration
Treehouse Theater presents details for our winter 2025 FIRST Stage musical production.  Rehearsals will be held at the studio (located at 910 Washington St in Manitowoc), leading to THREE performances at the UWGB-Manitowoc Theatre on Feb. 22 & 23, 2025.  

Our "KIDS" musicals involve a six week commitment to an education-based theater experience (focused on the process). They are a great opportunity for youth to learn life skills through theater and to shine on stage for supportive friends, family, and our deeply-rooted arts community.  This production will be led by:

    STAGE MANAGER - Quintella Groothoff

These AUDITIONS are open to students, ages 6-14 and up to 35 actors will be cast.   

Please DO NOT register to audition for Willy Wonka KIDS if you/your child is unable to highly prioritize production rehearsals within the family calendar.  Conflicts must be reported during this Audition registration. 

AUDITIONS are offered during these 60-minute time slots and each registered student will be assigned to one:
  • Thursday, Jan. 9: 5:45-6:45 pm OR 7:15-8:15 pm
  • Saturday, Jan. 11: 9-10 am OR 10:30-11:30 am
REHEARSAL TIME FRAMES - T/Th 6-7:30 pm and Sat 9:30-11:30 am, Jan. 16 through Feb. 15
  • Conflicts, both weekly & one-time, during time frames are allowed, but must be provided at registration
  • Significant conflicts negatively affect the entire cast/crew, so they will be considered in casting
  • Students are called (needed) for all rehearsals and attendance is vital to our success
  • Unexcused absences will not be tolerated

     SUNDAY, Feb. 16: full cast 6-7:30 pm
     TUESDAY, Feb, 18: full cast 6-7:30 pm
     WEDNESDAY, Feb. 19: actor call times between 4:30-6 pm / full cast 6-7:30 pm
     THURSDAY, Feb. 20: actor call times between 4:30-6 pm / full cast 6-7:30 pm

THREE PERFORMANCES
     SATURDAY, Feb. 22: 2 pm AND 4:30 pm
     SUNDAY, Feb. 23: 2 pm

  • Watch for a confirmation email from our Business Manager (operations@treehousetheater.com) that shares your assigned audition time slot AND includes the materials from Willy Wonka KIDS to PREPARE and ideally, MEMORIZE, for the audition

IF YOUR CHILD IS CAST:
  • Participation Fee of $250/student is due NO LATER THAN Jan. 30 ($50 late fee will be added)
  • Scholarship application (to waive all/part of participation fee) deadline is Jan. 25
  • Tickets to performances ($10) are not included
