Extension classes:
If your correct age group is 10&Under or higher, you may choose to do extension classes on a Saturday if you do eisteddfods as well as 1 other class per week.
You must
• Continue with your 2 ballet, 1 tap, 1 jazz, 1 eisteddfod lesson, as well as 1 other class per week.
• Commit to a 3 hour dance class every weekend for Term 1 and ½ of Term 2. Which half will depend on the Eisteddfod dates that are still to be confirmed. These classes will involve ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, singing, drama, contemporary, lyrical, stretching etc. We will be working on technique but also working towards extra performances (normal Eisteddfod teams will still be going ahead however the extension students will be doing some of their own extra routines).
• Attend the eisteddfod intensives as outlined above
• The extra cost will be $35 per week on top of your normal dance lessons. Missed classes cannot be made up as guest teachers are often arranged. Please do not miss any - routines may be rehearsed on any day
• Age groups will be decided after enrolments.
• The Extension uniform is compulsory and must be worn each week.
o Girls – Energetiks Chelsea cobolt blue and black top with JAL embroidery with plain black high waisted shorts
o Boys – black dance wear
If you have outgrown your current uniform, please bring (bagged and clearly labelled) to swap/on sell on enrolment days. If you need new, please arrange with SSS Design Moorooka. 0402074299
• Understand that not everyone will necessarily be performing in the Extension routines. Performers will be chosen on ability within the genre(s) chosen for that age group. The routines rehearsed in Eisteddfod rehearsal are totally different.
• Extension classes can not be used as makeup classes.
