I, (the “Volunteer”), in consideration of the Calgary Fringe Festival Society (the “Organizer”) permitting me to participate as a volunteer in the Calgary Fringe Festival, (the “Event,” or related functions) which is sponsored by various sponsors (“the Sponsors”), agree to and acknowledge the following:

I have full knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of risks and dangers of accidental harm which are involved in participating as a volunteer for the Event, or related functions, either in the planning and organizational stages, at the Event, or otherwise volunteering with the Organizer and I voluntarily assume these risks.  

In consideration of the acceptance of me as a volunteer and permitting me to participated as such, I agree to save harmless and keep indemnified the Organizers and Sponsors, and their respective agents from and against all claims and costs in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to person or property, however caused.

Further, I agree to grant to the Organizers and Sponsors exclusive right to use, publish or reproduce any photographs, drawings, or any copyrightable material produced of me as a volunteer.  

I have no expectation of financial gain from my participating as a volunteer.  I also agree to the following statement:

Individuals working for the Calgary Fringe Festival Society as Volunteers of the Calgary Fringe agree that any information learned and/or contributed during the course of their service as Volunteers is to be held confidential and used solely in the furtherance of the Society's business. Volunteers shall not at any time or in any manner divulge, disclose or communicate any other information  deemed confidential, material, or important to the Society without the written permission of the Society and the Board of Directors. Any breach of the foregoing may adversely affect the business of the Society, its effective and successful management, and its inherent good will.  Furthermore any information, improvements or ideas made or conceived by the individuals as Volunteers shall be the property of the Society.

I agree to this waiver, indemnity, and consent, applying to all activities which I may participate as a volunteer with the Organizers.

I have read, and agree to follow the Organizer’s Code of Conduct, and that it is my responsibility to act in such a manner as required.  

I understand the Organizers and legal authority may require me to provide a criminal record check, and I agree to provide one.  

I hereby declare and certify to the Organizer that I have no criminal record of any kind, in Canada or any other jurisdiction in the world. I further declare and certify to the Organizer that I am not currently under investigation of a criminal nature, nor am I subject to any charges pending of a criminal nature, in Canada or in any jurisdiction worldwide.
