About the workshop:
In this introductory class, participants will create a website using the popular Wix platform. We'll cover the Wix interface, tools and templates, as well as domain names, SEO and more.
This is a hands-on class, so participants will need to bring a laptop (tablets are not compatible with the builder, though they can be used for managing the site once it's built and published.)
About the facilitator:
Heather Ayers-Flood, a Google-certified educator, has taught computer classes to middle schoolers as well as other educators in the Phoenix-Talent School District. She is a Wix partner, and builds sites and offers consulting for small businesses in the area. In addition to Wix, she has experience with Wordpress and a number of other website builders.
