Public Charge Training by MLRI

The training will provide detailed materials regarding benefits, calculation worksheets and other case strategy tools to help attorneys advise clients about the use of public benefits and adjusting status. Lawyers will learn to identify and assess benefits their clients have received, screen clients under the new multi-factor test, and use a worksheet assessment tool to help determine case strategy. As well, the training will review the new I-944 form assessing a client’s “ability to be self-sufficient.”
