Withdrawal from Hastings College
This form is to be used by anyone withdrawing from Hastings College.

To withdraw from a single course or Block, please contact the Office of the Registrar at hcregistrar@hastings.edu.

Before beginning the withdrawal process, we encourage you to review the withdrawal policies and the refund policy and seek support and advice from your academic advisor or a staff/faculty member to discuss alternative options and/or channels of support. We have many resources available (academic support, financial aid reviews, mental health support, special accommodations, etc.) to assist with challenges our students may face and we want to help you be successful at Hastings College.

Withdrawal Process:
  1. Notify your academic advisor of your decision to withdraw.
  2. Complete and submit this withdrawal form
  3. Someone from the IT Help Desk will reach out to you about your iPad once you complete this form. You can also return it in person to the Helpdesk at HSU South hallway.
  4. Email broncobookstore@hastings.edu to arrange a time to return all rented books and rented supplies to Perkins Library or stop by during business hours or you can also leave your books with your name on each one in the outside bookdrop.
  5. Review the Financial Aid withdrawal policies in the Academic Catalog and discuss any financial implications of withdrawing with the Financial Aid team (hcfinaid@hastings.edu).
  6. Check your student account (via the “Finance” tab in self-service or by emailing hcstudentaccounts@hastings.edu) and pay any remaining balance. Reminder: If you are transferring to another institution, your balance MUST be paid in order to receive your official transcripts from Hastings College. Official Transcripts can be requested via the Registrar tab in ourHC.hastings.edu.
  7. Save any items from your Google Drive or HC Canvas that you might want in the future, since your HC account will be closed upon withdrawal.
  8. Return any borrowed items you may still have from Perkins Library, Studio 200, or other departments. You can do this by arranging a drop-off meeting, using the library dropbox for Perkins Library items, or shipping items back to: Hastings College (department), 710 N. Turner Ave., Hastings, NE 68901
