ABOUT ULANA CLUB
  • ulana club (with me, kumu meredith) is my private group of students who are working and studying lauhala weaving in the long term. we meet regularly on hawai'i island for weaving lessons, and we organize & stay connected through the ulana club discord server.
  • open first to native hawaiian young(er) adults ages 17-35. applicants of other ages and heritages are also very much welcome, but will be incorporated into the hui depending on fluctuations in capacity.
  • please note that all sessions are in person on hawai'i island only.

WHAT'S THIS FORM ?

the purpose of this survey is to better understand your interest in ulana lauhala, where you are coming from, and how i can best serve you and/or the greater community. think of it like our first chance to talk story; it's likely you already know a little about me or my story, but i'd like to know a little about you and yours :)

WHAT COMES NEXT ?

after you submit your application, i will review it and reach out to you via email. if everything seems to line up, we will meet for an intro session, where we'll have time to sit and weave your first project. if it continues to feel like a good fit, i'll help you get oriented to the online server and lessons.
