Homeschool Programs for take place on the second Tuesday of the month from 1:00-3:30 pm. Cost $20 Members, $22 for nonmembers. Pre-Pay all four programs (Spring) and save! $70 M/$80 NM

Monthly Themes

  • January 9: Decorative Arts
    • Tiffany Lamps: Explore the Museum’s permanent Collection exhibitions Louis Comfort Tiffany in New London and learn about different types of decorative arts. Create your own paper lamp inspired by stain glass designs.
  • February 13: Etching Landscapes
    • Learn about 20th century printmaker Norma Morgan and her sense of space and landscape in her prints. Then, make your own Styrofoam landscape print.
  • March 12: Kinetic Art
    • Take inspiration from sculptor and kinetic artist Leo Jensen. Learn about different ways art can move before you make a movable marionette.
  • NO APRIL HOMESCHOOL DAY: Stay Tuned for April Break Programs
  • May 14: Local Scenes

    • Celebrate the works of Beatrice Cuming, landscape artist and one of the early employees of the Lyman Allyn education programs! Make a Diorama celebrating a local scene.
