Hey there!Welcome to shesaidso.Dublin, the Irish chapter of the global shesaid.so initiative. shesaid.so is a global community of women, gender nonconforming people and allies in the music industry.
About shesaid.so Dublin
The Dublin chapter of shesaid.so was launched in 2018 by Shauna Watson. In its first few years, shesaid.so Dublin hosted a variety of skill-share workshops on topics including streaming, industry positions, music marketing and DJing. In August 2018 they partnered with the first inaugural music festival in Dublin called We've Only Just Begun which had an all female fronted line-up. In 2020, Shauna passed over the leadership of the Dublin chapter to Lisa Murray, who adapted the community to become a safe, open and welcoming online space during the Covid-19 pandemic, hosting workshops and webinars in collaboration with IMRO, West One Music Group, the National Concert Hall and more. Now, in the post-pandemic landscape, the chapter is developing once again and gearing up for an exciting lineup of events and collaborations in the works for the coming months and year ahead! Lisa is now accompanied by chapter co-director Nikki Raymond and shesaid.so Dublin is set to work closely with the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) to bring a set of educational workshops, panel discussions and community meet-ups to the Irish music scene!
