Enrollment Criteria

All applicants must reside in the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville School District and be 4 years of age on or before August 31, 2022. Students turning 5 on or before August 31, 2022 are not eligible for enrollment. Students must be independent with toileting.

Enrollment applications will be accepted until all slots are filled. If all slots are filled, you may request to be placed on a waiting list. Only completed enrollment packets will be considered.

1.) Completed district enrollment packets will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
2.) Parents will be notified regarding acceptance into the program.
3.) I realize that I am not guaranteed an AM or PM placement. All placements will be final.

The following documents will be required before your student is enrolled into any USD 204 Preschool Program and must be provided before the first day of preschool. Copies are not accepted.

-- Identity of Student (Original birth certificate or passport)
-- Health/Immunization Records (Students cannot start school without immunizations and doctor's physical exam records on file)
-- Proof of Residency - A recent utility bill (electric, gas or water), required during enrollment in July
-- Kansas driver's license/ID or government issued photo ID
-- IPT (ELL Proficiency Test - to be done at school). For English Language Learners only.

I qualify for the 4 year old No Fee Program at McDanield based on the following criteria: Check all that apply: *

Family qualifies for free meals under the National School Lunch Program on September 20, 2022.

On the first day of school, a custodial parent is unmarried.

Student has been referred by Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) for educational services.

At least one parent was a teen when the child was born.

A parent is lacking a high school diploma or GED on the first day of school.

The child has limited English proficiences based on ELL assessment. Your child will take the district assessment to qualify.

The student is developmentally or academically delayed based on validated assessment, but above the eligibility criteria for SPED services. Scores that fall at or below the 40th percentile indicate 'at-risk'.

Student qualifies for services under the Migrant Education Program.

The student is experiencing homelessness, determined by the district homeless coordinator
