Virtual Computing Research Day - 9/11/2020
The Computer Science department is organizing a Virtual Computing Research Day from 10-2 pm on Friday, September 11, 2020. All graduate students in the department are invited to attend (partial attendance is fine). This is a great opportunity for students to get to know the new faculty members who will be joining us in Fall 2020, as well as learning about different research areas within and outside the CS department.
Our plan for the day (with tentative timing):
Pre-Event: Current CS faculty upload 3-5 min. videos about their research.
10-11:15: New CS faculty present their research synchronously
11:30-1 Panels on CS Research Directions
1-2: Computing-interested faculty introduce themselves and present research ideas (~4 minutes each)
