Spring 2023 Art Therapy Registration
Thank you for your interest in joining ArtReach GW for art therapy workshops in the Spring 2023 semester!

This semester, we are offering a mix of in-person and virtual classes to accommodate all participants and insure that everyone has the opportunity to safely participate in classes depending on their level of comfort. For virtual classes, pick-up dates will be arranged for free art supplies at THEARC.

Please note that we give priority to Ward 7 and 8 residents. This class is free including all materials.  We only ask that you commit to attending regularly and on time.  

We follow The George Washington University and DCPS Holiday schedule.

Pause. Breathe. Focus.|Virtual| Adults

February 7th - April 23rd | Tuesdays | 6:30 - 8 PM

An open studio artmaking group, with dialogue around priorities, boundaries, and self-control. Participants will dedicate time to reflect on aspects of self and life that need particular attention and development. Participants will have the freedom to choose artistic medium(s) and express themselves creatively in a supportive community space.

 

Sacred Circle | In-person + Virtual| Adults

February - May | Thursdays| In-person : March 2, April 13 | Virtual: March 16th, April 27th | 6:30 - 8 PM

A collection of thematic workshops, focused on prayer, community, and growth. Workshops will include guided meditation that creates space for personal prayer and self-reflection. Participants will process their experience creatively by making embroidered mandalas.These workshops are in collaboration with the GW Museum + Textile Museum upcoming exhibition, "Prayer and Transcendence," and installation by Anne Lindberg, will take place on site at the museum and virtually.Transportation will be provided.
