Transformations annual dance showcase is looking for (new or existing) works from choreographers and companies to join us for a performance celebrating dance. 6-8 choreographers will be chosen to present their work. All submissions go through adjudication by a panel of dance professionals.
Where: Chaiken Auditorium, Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia
8900 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031
When: Nov. 19, 7:00pm
Specifications for Submissions:
-No longer than 12 minutes in length.
-Can be existing or proposed new work.
-Can be in any dance genre.
-Extra, sound equipment, projection needs, etc. must be communicated in your original proposal.
-You and your dancers must be available between 5 pm – 9 pm on Nov. 18th for tech rehearsal and 5pm-10pm November 19th for performance. Tech will be the evening before the performance and you will be allotted an appropriate time based on the length and needs of the dance.
Chosen works will receive photos and video of their work from the show, promotion of your company on our website and social media. 
Deadline to submit is September 18th, 2022!
Application fee is $25 (per piece). You may submit as many pieces as you'd like for consideration. Please send each submission in a separate form. To pay your submission fee, please send via Venmo to @DanceArtTheater. Your submission will not be completed until you have paid your application fee. *Note that this is the only fee for participation; if you are chosen there are no production fees.
