How it Works:
You apply online, and then you pick a shelter dog or puppy to take out of the shelter on an adventure the day of the event.  Dates of the events are picked based on days of the week, and times of the month when the shelter has fewer adoptions.  That way, the shelter pup doesn't miss out on a potential furever family!

Our coordinator (that's me, Tricia - Hi!)  will reach out to you a few days before the event date via email containing a link of potential matches, and you select which doggy (or doggies) you would like to take for the day,  if you can still participate.  We completely understand if you can't, because things happen.  Then, on the morning of the event, you come to the shelter between 8:30am - 9:00am and pick up your doggy and the supplies.

What you do and where you go is up to you!

Then, you bring your doggy back between 12:30pm - 4:30pm.  No need to make an appointment for the return.  If, at ANY time during the Day Out, if you need to return the animal early, just call the shelter and we'll accommodate you.  No problem at all!

It is that simple!  You get to help out a shelter dog, and they get a much needed break from the shelter!
