Northampton County Public Schools After-School Program Grades K-6 Interest Survey
Northampton County Schools is exploring the development of an after-school program for students in grades K-6 to be held at KES and OES in partnership with the YMCA.  Therefore, we need your input to determine the interest and need for this program as part of our grant application.  Below are the details of the program.  Please respond to this four question survey by March 29, 2024.  

Program components would include:
  • Afternoon snack and social-emotional learning
  • Homework help
  • Academic instruction/tutoring and enrichment 
  • Physical activities 
Program Details:
  • Hours   -  The program would run from 3:30 to 5:30.
  • Days     -  Monday through Friday  
  • Pick-Up - There would be an option for students getting picked up by their families to stay until 6:00.
  • Cost     -   This program would be free of charge to NCPS families.   
NOTE:  A parent/guardian of each participating student would be required to attend a total of four hours of family engagement programming throughout the course of the school year. 

This after-school program is contingent upon NCPS being awarded 21st Century Community Learning Center grant funding at each elementary school.  The number of students served may be limited based on the amount of the grant award.



Las Escuelas del Condado de Northampton están explorando el desarrollo de un programa extracurricular para estudiantes del kinder  a sexto grado que se llevará a cabo en KES y OES en asociación con la YMCA. Por lo tanto, necesitamos su aporte  para determinar el interés y la necesidad de este programa como parte de nuestra solicitud de subvención. A continuación se detallan los detalles del programa.  Por favor responda a esta  encuesta de cuatro preguntas antes del 29 de marzo, 2024.  


Los componentes del programa incluirían:

  • Merienda y aprendizaje socioemocional.

  • Ayuda con las tareas

  • Instrucción/tutoría académica y enriquecimiento

  • Actividades físicas

Detalles del programa:

  • Horas   -  El programa sera de  3:30 a 5:30.

  • Dias    -  lunes a viernes

  • Hora de levantar- Habra una opción para que los estudiantes sean recogidos por sus familias y se queden hasta las 6:00.

  • Costo     -   Este programa sera gratiuito para familias de NCPS.   

NOTA: Se requeriría que un padre/tutor de cada estudiante participante asista a un total de cuatro horas de programación de participación familiar durante el transcurso del año escolar.


Este programa extracurricular depende de que NCPS reciba fondos de subvención para el Centro de Aprendizaje Comunitario del Siglo 21 en cada escuela primaria. La cantidad de estudiantes atendidos puede estar limitada según el monto de la subvención otorgada.
