Term 2 2019 OVER 7s Gym class registration - Autism Intervention Trust
The Autism Intervention Trust with the support of Capital Gym Sports run two gym classes on Sunday mornings during school term time.*  The aim of the classes is to provide opportunities for children on the autism spectrum to enjoy a gym class and gain skills in an environment and with a routine that works for them, and most importantly to have fun!

Enrolment is required for each term, and siblings are also welcome.

The two classes are loosely split by age.

THIS REGISTRATION FORM IS FOR THE OLDER CHILDREN'S CLASS.

The class for older children (over 7's) is more structured with some children following simple routines and having opportunities to explore the equipment. The over 7's class runs from 10 am to 11am. The classes are run during the School term, from 28 April to 7 July.

As it sometimes takes a while for children on the spectrum to actively engage in activities, the Autism Intervention Trust offers the first term of classes free of charge. There are no strict rules about age so please register / enrol your child/ren in the class which would suit them best.

While Capital Gym Sports provides coaches to direct the sessions, it is a requirement that parents / caregivers stay with the children during the class. The gym equipment is full size and children need to be adequately supervised for safety reasons. We also find when parents / caregivers and siblings actively engage in the class as well, the children gain more from the class. Siblings also make great teachers!  

If you wish to continue after your first term there is a cost to enrol:
$60 per term for Autism Intervention Trust financial members, or
$70 per term for non financial members.

Financial members have paid an annual membership fee and are entitled to discounts.

The gym classes are provided at a discounted rate. This is possible through the support of a number of sponsors and grant funders. To support our proposals, the Trust uses photos to promote the gym classes with funders. Photos from the gym classes may also be used in other promotional material, such as our Annual Report and through social media. Do you give the Autism Intervention Trust permission to use photos of your child for these purposes?

The gym classes are supervised by instructors employed by Capital Gym Sports, not the Autism Intervention Trust. From a health and safety perspective, please briefly note any challenges that may impact the safety of your child, or the safety others, that the instructors need to be aware of?
