2022 VABF Conference Volunteer Application
CONFERENCE VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers receive 50% off an individual registration fee in exchange for approximately 6 hours of work, split into shifts of your choice. A 50% off discount code will be provided for the online registration (not the farm intern/student rate), if application is accepted. Conference registration is for Jan 23 & 24, 2022 and includes lunch and dinner on Sunday and lunch on Monday. Volunteers are responsible for their own travel and lodging.

PRE-CONFERENCE VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are also needed during the Pre-Conference workshop day, on Saturday, January 22. If the application is accepted, a 50% off Pre-Conference workshop discount code will be provided for a limited number of volunteers that work for 2-3 hours on Saturday. Volunteers may pick their shifts. Available shifts include registration/info table, assisting exhibitors setting up, room hosts and movie presentation assistance. Acceptance as a Pre-Conference Volunteer is separate from a Conference Volunteer. Volunteers are responsible for their own travel and lodging. The 50% off code does not apply to the Saturday lunch buffet ticket.

All volunteers will be able to pick their shifts. Shifts will be available for sign up on the Volunteer Local website/app. Tasks/shifts include but are not limited to: checking name badges at meals, checking name badges/room host during sessions, helping at the registration/info desk, assisting exhibitors, and helping with the Silent Auction and Taste of Virginia Expo, photography and social media posts.
