UK PonyCon 2024 Volunteer Applications
Thank you for your interest in applying to be a volunteer for UK PonyCon 2024.

Welcome to the volunteer application form for UK PonyCon 2024! We are thrilled that you are interested in joining our team and helping us make this event a success. Our convention is a celebration of all things pastel pony, and we rely on the dedication and hard work of volunteers like you to make it happen. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow fans, gain valuable experience, and contribute to a fun and memorable experience for attendees. Thank you for considering volunteering with us, and we look forward to reviewing your application!

Volunteers join us at the convention to help us put on the event. You'll be provided with a volunteer information pack with lots of information about volunteering, and you'll also be asked to join a pre-convention meeting on Discord or Zoom in the weeks before, so we can explain what you'll be doing and answer any questions. You won't normally be expected to have significant involvement until much closer to the convention, although there may be some opportunities for this. 

Your main liaison will be Skydream, who is Volunteer Lead, but you will work with other committee members too in a wide range of roles.

Volunteers agree to the volunteer agreement, available on our website at https://www.ukponycon.co.uk/volunteer-agreement

We'll assess your application and respond to you via email within two weeks. We may ask to schedule an interview with you over Zoom, at a mutually convenient time.

UK PonyCon, a trading name of UKPC Events Ltd, collects personal data to process your application, to support you in your role, and to deliver UK PonyCon 2024. We use Google Forms and related services to manage this data. Your data will not be used for other purposes or shared externally, except where otherwise noted.

Availability for the convention *
We have a pre-registration session and setup on Friday 4th October 2024, followed by two full days on Saturday 5th October and Sunday 6th October 2024, with take-down on Sunday evening. Please indicate on which days you will be available to volunteer and present at the venue. This is not a commitment or confirmation of your shift times - if successful, these will be discussed nearer to the convention.

We use Discord to chat and coordinate, and either Discord or Zoom to host voice/video call meetings in the weeks before the convention. Please tick below to confirm you'd be willing to participate in some of these, so that we can help you succeed in your role.
