Sometimes students have particular allergies, skin problems, sickness or other conditions (asthma, diabetes, etc) which they need medication for - specifically, medication that only your doctor can prescribe (la ricetta).

This is not a problem... however, you must bring with you an official letter from your doctor to authorise the medication you are going to take and/or need when you are in Ireland.

Specifically, your doctor must:

• write this on original letterhead paper with original signature and your doctor's number / stamp

• specific details: mediation type (what it's for), brand, active ingredient(s), etc, quantity (number of boxes, ..)

• dosage details (dosaggio): when to take the medication (eg. 3 times a day after food), when to stop (eg. after 10 days / when you feel better)

► And... any additional information / process that your doctor decides is necessary.
