Nominate a colleague for the The Mary Jo Martinez Outstanding Professional Award.  Let all the members of AZ-AER know who the outstanding professionals are in the field here in Arizona.  We will be accepting nominations until September 30th.  So, get those nominations submitted and recognize someone special whose contributions to the field of visual impairment have been outstanding!
 
Nomination Criteria

Award requirements/guidelines:
1. The nominee must be working with infants, toddlers, children, or adults with visual impairments.  
2. The nominee can be employed in any professional role (e.g., special education teacher, vocational rehabilitation counselor, early intervention provider, physical therapist).
3. The following are preferred characteristics in order of importance:
a. Be serving infants, toddlers, children or adults with visual impairments in Arizona
b. Be serving infants, toddlers, children, or adults with visual impairments in rural communities
c. Be one who goes "above and beyond" the call of duty in delivering services to infants, toddlers, children, or adults with visual impairments
d. Be community minded volunteering and supporting the community(ies) in which the nominee lives through service to groups and organizations outside of visual impairment
