Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Zero Ceiling's Adventure Sessions program.
The goal of the Adventure Sessions is to provide access to outdoor spaces and land-based healing for young people who are traditionally excluded from these spaces and experiences. This includes young people aged 16-24 who are: at risk of homelessness; from government care; facing mental health issues; experiencing poverty; and Indigenous young people.
This application form is designed to help us understand how your skills, experience, and perspectives can contribute to the program. Our volunteers have a real impact on the experience of young people taking part in the program. The key to the role is making participants feel welcome, included, heard, and understood.
We are working towards creating a more inclusive volunteer program at Zero Ceiling that reflects the populations we serve. We actively welcome applications from all qualified people, including those with lived experience of homelessness, poverty, and mental health issues, as well as racialized people, people of all sexual orientations, women and trans* people, Indigenous peoples, those with diverse abilities, and from all social strata.
We recognize that for some people, there may be barriers to volunteering with Zero Ceiling. If this is the case, we encourage you to reach out to Lizi McLoughlin (
lizi@zeroceiling.org) to discuss what support we can provide to help you participate as a volunteer.
If you have any questions about this form, the program, or the application process, please contact Lizi at
