Join Us for Sustainability Month!
Sustainability Month is the idea that one day, Earth Day, is not enough. Sustainability relates to our consumption habits and how we tread on the planet. Therefore, during the month, we set a tone to promote sustainable practices and norms.

During this month, we encourage a paradigm shift in the way we view our world and to develop a sustainable culture. This can be done by organizing actions, events, campaigns, competitions, and more to foster sustainable engagement in our lifestyles and consumption behaviors.

We hope to engage a community of people and include a diversity of voices, fostering solidarity and developing new perspectives by challenging assumptions and norms. Along the way, we hope to have some fun and perhaps improve ourselves through the process.

If you have an event or competition planned during this month for an international audience, we welcome you to submit your event on this form as well (https://forms.gle/VFHDD4G7xBXM3rPU9) so we can upload it on our Calendar (https://tinyurl.com/calforSM) and promote it through our social media and webpage.

We hope to encourage everyone to reconsider our consumption patterns, reduce waste, and make mindful choices that prioritize the longevity of our planet.
Actions to Take to Participate in Sustainability Month

  1. Fill in this pledge form

  2. Use the Sustainability Month logo and (or) #SustainabilityMonth throughout April in relevant communications and activities, whenever possible (Found here: Sustainability Month Logo)

  3. Create content (about climate change and sustainability issues/solutions) throughout the month to distribute (e.g., through emails, social media, blogs, etc.) or share relevant content created by us (To be updated through here: Sustainability Month Information Pack)

  4. Hold at least one Sustainability Month event/activity (about climate change and sustainability issues/solutions) for your organization and/or the public. Include an introduction to what Sustainability Month is at the start of their event (Guideline: Sustainability Month - Event Intro Slides).

  5. Fill in the feedback form (for organizers) after Sustainability Month and include at least one picture or video from your event/activity (Found here: Sustainability Month Ideas and Feedback).

This is to provide online spaces (and possibly schedule meetings) for different organizers to meet and discuss their ideas, suggestions, solutions, and best practices. This will act as a support group to discuss challenges and solutions.
