APSS Community Demographics Form
The Africa Private Sector Summit (APSS) is a Non-Profit, Non Partisan, Pan-African Private Sector Continental Think (Do) Tank organization that convenes the private sector, public sector, CSO, Labour and Academia from Africa and the Diaspora, to advocate for favourable governance, legal, regulatory, policy, commercial, trade and investment environment which promote business, investment and trade in Africa at the back of Regional Economic Communities [REC]s’ protocols and especially drawing from the spark plug of the African Continental Free Trade Area [AfCFTA]. It is registered in Accra, Ghana. 

Based on the successes so far attained over the years from APSS Series 1 and developments made leading to the draft Charter on Private Sector Development, Rights and Environment in Africa [a.k.a Private Sector Bill of Rights (PSBoR) for an Enabling Business Environment in Africa] and aspired next steps, the APSS is undergoing a major restructure. The objective is to expand its capacity to pursue our collective aspiration to deliver the Africa we want, within an Ecosystem of multilayered partnerships with continental, regional and national policy advocacy bodies including the Pan African Chamber of Commerce & Industry [PACCI] which will lead the regional and continental vetting and validations, as well as the Africa Business Council [ABC] which will lead the continental adoption process at the AU Summit of Heads of States. Other partners along the process include Trade Groups, Business Communities, Manufacturing Associations and others. 

Therefore, the APSS approved structure in the medium term is to have a 17-member APSS Advisory Board and the a 13-member Executive Board, made up of distinguished personalities from Africa's 5+1 regional blocks - East Africa, Central Africa, North Africa, West Africa, and Southern Africa, and the African Diaspora. To fill these positions, APSS recently announced its invitation of nominations of candidates into its Advisory and Executive Boards. Applications have been reviewed and the candidate vetting process is now almost completed, after which announcements will be made shortly . Part of the restructuring arrangement for the new phase of APSS include [a] the co- founders of APSS have transitioned into the Advisory Board and Executive Boards as members respectively,  [b] Mr. Judson Wendell Addy, the Founder and outgoing Chair, takes on the role of Founder, Chair Emeritus and Member of the Advisory Board, [c] Professor Kingsley Moghalu is now the Chair of both the Advisory Board and the Executive Board. To strengthened APSS Executive capacity, APSS also recently appointed a CEO, transitioned one of the co-founders into an Executive Director role, as well as created three Director positions namely Director Projects, Director Technical and Director Programmes and Admin. There is provision in the new structure for Project Managers and interns by region in the near term, as well as research scholar roles all on project specific contract basis.  

This form seeks to capture the demographics of individuals within APSS Ecosystem for possibilities of future engagements around Africa's five + 1 geographic regions, especially the regional and continental vetting and validation of the Private Sector Bill of Rights for an Enabling Business Environment in Africa.
