The Stanmeyer Scholars program is a 9-person group lesson in jazz improvisation for devoted brass and woodwind players (trumpet, trombone, alto/tenor/baritone saxophone, clarinet, and flute players) who are planning to attend collegiate jazz institutions. The sessions are led by award-winning trumpet player Richard Stanmeyer from his studio in Allston MA. Lessons are divided into two groups:
Group A includes 9 brass and woodwind players ages 14-18 who are preparing to apply to undergraduate music colleges/conservatories. Group A sessions run every Friday 3-4pm from Friday July 7th to Friday August 4th (5 sessions in total, 1 session per week).
Group B includes 9 brass and woodwind players ages 19-25 who are preparing to apply to graduate music colleges/conservatories. Group B sessions run every Friday 5-6pm from Friday July 7th to Friday August 4th (5 sessions in total, 1 session per week).

A one-time deposit of $175 is due one week before the start date of the program, Friday June 30th 2023, to secure enrollment. Zelle/Cash/Venmo/CashApp/PayPal are acceptable payment methods!
I will send a reminder email on Wednesday June 28th 2023 to the scholars, which will include additional logistical information.
There is one full-tuition scholarship available by applying through video submission. Further info is below.
