Open the door to spring! On May 6th, 2023, our in-person seedling sale event returns on the weekend of Doors Open Hamilton . Join us at Green Ventures EcoHouse, 22 Veevers Drive, Hamilton, ON L8K5P5 for a fun-filled family friendly event from 10:00am-4:00pm.

Shop a wide assortment of organic seedlings while taking in the rich history of EcoHouse walk through several naturalized garden areas, and all it has to offer. There is no better way to get your vegetable garden off to a roaring start!

All of your garden seedlings are being grown at EcoHouse by our dedicated garden staff and students and are growing right alongside the plants we grow for our gardens at EcoHouse.

How the Seeding Sale Works:

In-person shopping will happen on May 6, 2023. Guests can drop in anytime from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at EcoHouse.

Make payment. Be prepared to pay in cash or send an e-transfer to director@greenventure. We encourage guests to bring their own box or bag to carry their seedlings after purchase. Please note we recommend several days of hardening off before planting your seedlings in their permanent homes. 

While the event is free, donations are always encouraged to help support our garden programs.

Please stay a while!. If you wish to eat lunch at the event, you are welcome to bring a low-waste picnic lunch to eat on-site. A very limited number of picnic tables are available, so you may wish to bring a picnic blanket.
