Please answer the following questions to help the Return-to-School Committee create DB-TC's plan for returning to instruction on September 8. Please note that these questions are based on the U.P. (Michigan's Region 8) being in Phase 5 at the start of school. We were designated a "Phase 5" region in June--gyms, hair salons, indoor theaters, etc. were permitted to reopen, subject to workplace safeguards. Indoor social gatherings and organized events of up to 50 people were allowed, and outdoor social gatherings and organized events of up to 250 people were allowed. Being in Phase 5 means schools may return to in-person instruction, with many recommended safety protocols in place.

DB-TC's Return-to-School Committee includes Christina Norland, Superintendent-Principal (norlandc@dollarbay.k12.mi.us), Donna Engman, School Board President (engmandonna@yahoo.com), Teachers Dan Juopperi (juopperid@dollarbay.k12.mi.us), Kim Peltier (peltierk@dollarbay.k12.mi.us), and Marissa Kentala (kentalam@dollarbay.k12.mi.us), and Parents Kelsey Jouppe (kelseyjouppe@gmail.com), and Jay Ringler (ringler@charter.net). My child(ren) will attend a DB-TC alternative (virtual or remote) option if face coverings are required. (Options may include an online platform that is 100% on the computer and/or a remote learning option that uses Google Meet to tune in to live DB teachers' instruction about five times a day.)

My child(ren) will attend a DB-TC alternative option until a vaccine is in place.
