Been to a Burn event before? Sweet - you've got a good idea what this gathering is all about and what it means to pARTicipate.

A Burn event is something different because it is created in its entirety by the people who attend. Time, effort, energy and creativity are a Gift (one of the ten principles). Burns are the culmination of a Communal Effort (another principle) to bring a unique experience of expression to life! In all ways, Koliada Szczodre Gody, a Canberra Burner Solstice will be what YOU make it.

Crewing/Organised Participation is one of many ways to contribute. You will make new friends, likely learn some skills, possibly challenge yourself whilst achieving great rewards. For many people, the anticipation and experience of helping make the whole thing happen before the event is the best part as through doing this, it is highly likely you will make friends for life. 

How you can participate:
Time frames & role descriptions (only pick one unless its setup)

- On-site set-up (Pre-event - Friday June 23rd and Saturday June 24th); some roles [art & décor] may start earlier:
- Build and infrastructure team (DPI)*
- Décor/site prep*
- Art project installations/advance construction - get connected with an artist looking for assistance (got questions? Ask Holy Dooley (clucas.cris@gmail.com) the Art Coordinator and check out the art submission form: https://forms.gle/jFpFKzWMXsbPqKzX6

During the event, these are shift base of about 3 hours:
- Gate*
- Greeters* (Also helping Burners after they come through Greeters find a park and helping them to find a nice spot to camp)
- Buffet* (Help serve food and clean pots and pans).
 
Post event - Sunday:
- Pack-down/LNT*
- Collexodus (Fare-welling the burners as they leave and collecting unwanted non-perishable food and drinks as people leave for the pack down crew).

Medical:
If you or burn-curious friends have medical training of advanced First Aid or above, we want to hear from you!  Having medical volunteers from our community (as opposed to paying a professional service to be on site, that we in all likelihood won't use) frees up funding for more art/infrastructure.
