Section B - Parade entry terms and conditions signed

Section C - Parade Registration

Section D - Media information

Section E - Sign off

Confirmation of entry

Receipt of registration does not necessarily confirm an entry. Cork Pride reserves the right to refuse the entry of any individual or entity that, in Cork Pride’s opinion does not reflect the celebration intended by the Parade.

Placement in the Parade

Priority placement is based on date and time completed applications are received with special consideration for community groups, older people, children and those with special needs. Placement in the Parade is at the sole discretion of Cork Pride; we will however try to accommodate requests for placement where possible.

Parade line up assignments will be distributed on the morning of the Parade during the steward safety meeting. It is essential that your stewards attend this meeting.

Commercial, franchise and third party sponsorship

Any third party sponsorship, display of logos of third party entities must be approved by Cork Pride prior to submission. Such permission, if granted, usually attract commercial entry fees and conditions. Please contact us prior to submission for more information.

Throwing/ handing items to the crowd

PLEASE NOTE: We require that you do not throw anything from your contingent or in any way encourage viewers to come onto the Parade Route. This presents a very serious safety issue as motorized vehicles comprise part of the parade. Deaths at such events have occurred in the past for this very reason. Volunteers may however walk alongside footpaths and HAND items to people - do not encourage viewers to come onto the street in any way.

Section B

A. Cork Pride encourages all participating contingents to reflect this year’s theme “Proud to be” - interpreting this theme as you see fit.

B. Signs and banners. A sign or banner providing the name of the organisation or group must precede each entry participating in the parade or have their name prominently displayed on their vehicle.

C. Edge protection. All floats entering the Parade must have adequate edge protection (i.e. a secure handrail) fitted around any exposed perimeter of the float.

D. Contingent steward. All contingents are required to provide one steward per 25 participants of their group). Their primary role is to facilitate the movement and safety of your contingent in the Parade while the Parade is in progress. Stewards will report directly to Cork Pride Parade Committee. Any contingent without a steward will not be allowed to participate. Contingents who have vehicles are required to provide four to six stewards for safety purposes. Likewise failure to provide adequate stewards will result in non-participation in the Parade.

E. Removal from the Parade. Cork Pride reserves the right to remove any individual, group or contingent who is, in its sole opinion and discretion, a hindrance to the safety and progress of the Parade or who places participants or spectators in physical danger, for motor safety violations, unsafe or illegal conduct such as drugs, alcohol or participation inconsistent with the aims, goals and purposes of Cork Pride Parade. This includes the right to remove persons from any float or vehicular unit which it determines to be overcrowded to such an extent that the unit may break down or cause injury to participants.

F. Line up and staging. A number of factors determine your placement in the Parade. Priority placement is based on time and date your complete application is received. We attempt to accommodate as many contingent requests as possible.

G. Forward movement. All contingents are required to maintain a forward movement during the Parade. No stopping unless directed by the Cork Pride Stewards or An Garda Siochana. All performances or manoeuvres must be on the move. No stationary manoeuvres will be allowed. Please maintain a gap between contingents of less than 7 metres (20 feet).

H. Vehicle breakdown. Towing charges for any unit that becomes disabled and/or delays the Parade will be at the owner's’ expense.
