The Bell Collective is excited to announce our Fifth Annual HLS Critical Race Theory Conference, which will take place from March 20-22, 2024 with a pre-conference event on March 19, 2024.

This year, we will explore the concept of Freedom Dreaming for a Radical Reconstruction within the broader theme of Censorship & Consciousness. At a time when institutions are attempting to limit speech both within and outside campuses we are looking to inspire a conversation that will develop collective consciousness and action. Workshops and panels will aim to educate about the the carceral state as a form of censorship, the institutional censorship of pro-Palestinian perspectives, hindrances to liberatory education through book bans, and a national wave of anti-CRT legislation.

Our theme underscores the interconnected nature of these various forms of suppression, and we aim to empower attendees to challenge limitations on free speech both within and outside school campuses, unravel the intricacies of Critical Race Theory (CRT), and shape the narrative on censorship and consciousness!
