Part-Time Volunteer or Paid Job Application - Elevate My Chess

Elevate My Chess Canada Inc. is now accepting applications for various volunteer and paid part-time positions we have during our events and lessons that we run. 2022 is going to be a busy year for us so we're looking for energetic and enthusiastic chess fans who can join our team and assist us during our events. Below is a brief description of the positions we are looking to fill:

Chess Tutors: We run a chess club in Oakville, chess lessons and chess camps and require experienced chess tutors to help our students develop their chess game. Chess Tutors need to possess the following: good knowledge of the game of chess; ability to manage and handle kids; good command of English language; good presentation skills; and ability to develop chess lesson plan. Hourly pay for chess tutors start at $25 per hour depending on your experience.

Chess Content Developer: We need content for our social medial channels including Youtube. If you love to develop relevant chess content (videos, puzzles, mini lessons, etc) that will provide value to our fans, we will love to engage you. Rate for this will be based on the content developed.

Event Assistants: Event assistants help with venue set up and tear down; set up of chess boards and clocks; customer service at the events; waiting at sponsor tables; helping with sale of products and services; and other general tasks. Hourly pay for Event Assistants start at $15 per hour.

Media Experts: Media experts will help broadcast our live events to the world. If you're familiar with facebook live, Youtube live events, operating a camera, interviewing chess players and event attendees and have creative ideas on how we can engage our fans during our live events, we would love to chat with you. Rates start at $25 per hour.
