Thank you for your interest in helping to mark the Canadian Open Math Challenge (COMC)! Please fill out this form below, and we will get in touch with you shortly.

We ask that all volunteers contribute a minimum of 4 hours. In addition, Level 2 and 3 Markers will will receive a 45 minute training during the week of Nov 11. We will contact you to poll your availability for training.

Please note that you can put your volunteer hours towards a CCR in Math Outreach (10 hours needed).

Time Line:
**Nov 4: Deadline to fill out volunteer form**
Week of Nov 11: Preparation and Scanning of Contests. Training Sessions. Marking Begins.
Week of Nov 18: Marking Continues.
Week of Nov 25: Marking Continues. Data Entry.
All contests will need to be fully processed by Dec 1.

Volunteer Roles *

What positions are you interested in assisting with (mark all that apply). Note that while preparation/scanning will take place in the Department, marking and data entry can be done online.

Preparation -- sorting, counting, clipping corners, scanning contest papers into Crowdmark.

Marker Level 1: Triage Marking -- Marks Part A and B Questions as perfect or zero, leaving partial solutions to other markers. No training required.

Marker Level 2: Partial Marking -- Assigning partial marks to incorrect solutions in Parts A and B. Training Required.

Marker Level 3: Proof Marking -- Making the difficult Part C questions, which require full written solutions. Training Required. Markers should be specialists in math and/or have a strong background in contest math.

Data Entry -- typing out the name, email, and grade level of contestants.
