Event Details:
Saturday, June 17, 2023
HERC Gathering @ 11:30am
Walk to WFKL park from HERC @ 12:00
WKFK park Liberation celebration 12:30-5:00 pm

Application Process: Applications will be reviewed and HP reserves the right to refuse tabling if it is not LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC aligned in values. HP would like to add if all items and vendors must be LGBTQ+ and BIPOC friendly. Intersectionality is a must and the reason for our combined event.

Application Deadline:  Sunday June 4, 2023 at 5pm AKST

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and how it affects LGBTQ+ & BIPOC folks disproportionately, as members of the community we ask that you practice safety by not attending if you are feeling ill, wear masks and practice social distancing when/if possible. Our marginalized communities are at a higher risk of encountering many of the economic setbacks already experienced such as unemployment, difficulty paying bills and navigating the cis heteronormative healthcare system. We do not want our event to contribute to setbacks and would appreciate you keeping our community safe.

Selection Process: All applications are subject to approval. Applicants will be notified of application and their booth assignments by 5pm AKST June 10, 2023.

Fees: Vendor Fee: $100 Non Profit Fee: $80 Food Vendor: $100 Financial Hardship: Please reach out to us, we do not want this to be a hindrance in your participation.

We thank you for supporting Homer Pride as your organization is helping to fund accessible events for our community. If you are unable to show up for the event, the fee will not be refunded.

Space fee must be paid within 3 business days of receiving acceptance email with further details. If unable to submit payment on time, please contact us as no contact will have Homer Pride go to the next vendor on the waiting list.

By paying for your space you agree to the following: Vendors will be able to set up by 10:00 am - 12:00.  We ask that you be set up and ready by the time the march to the WKFL park begins as some folks come just to the park. You must sell only what you have disclosed to sell indicated on your application as we are trying to curate a fair and diverse vendor and customer experience. We and the City of Homer have not agreed to the sale or use of alcohol, tobacco or drugs at our Pride event. Sharing of vending space should be disclosed. We would appreciate promoting this event by posting on your social media stories and feeds

Space Assignments:   While the committee makes every effort to ensure space assignments, space assignments cannot be guaranteed.  Preference will be given to local LGBTQ & BIPOC vendors. We reserve the right to modify space assignments as necessary to accommodate folks.

Booth assignments will be sent by 5pm AKST Saturday June 10, 2023.

Breakdown can begin at 5pm and vendors are responsible for their own tents, tables, chairs, displays, and use of trash receptacles near their booth.

Vendor Parking: *DO NOT* park at business parking spots next to WKFL park. There will be a loading/unloading zone. We ask that after you have unloaded, you park at the designated parking as said loading zone will become handicap accessible parking during the event.

Basic Rules: Juneteenth X Homer Pride is an LGBTQ+ positive event hosted by Homer Pride.  We believe in the inclusion and recognition of the importance of our BIPOC friends, family, allies and communities.  As such, any vendor displaying anti-LGBTQ+, racists, or pro-colonizer sentiments will be asked to leave immediately.

Pride is about inclusion and the LGBTQ+ community and the Black and Indigenous and folks of color communities have liberation movements that overlap. We acknowledge the deliberate anti-Blackness that occurs in Pride. Our goal is to create change by focusing on the necessity to be inclusive and intersectional and welcoming a joint liberation celebration.

1. Vendors are responsible for keeping the area around their booth clean and free of hazards. 2. No fire-inducing or producing materials or devices allowed. 3. This is a smoke/vape free event.  There will be no smoking allowed at the liberation celebration park area. Folks are welcome to smoke across the street and away from the event. 4. Do not speak negatively or put down other vendors or events, especially not to attendees.

Institutional information: Vendors selling must register for City of Homer and Kenai Peninsula borough taxes. Homer Pride is not responsible for any fines you receive from the city or borough for a lack of licensing if selling merchandise.

All vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting sales tax, currently 7.85% ( 4.85% City of Homer plus 3% Kenai Peninsula Borough).
