Application Form to become a Member of AITA/IATA asbl  
AITA/AITA asbl is an umbrella body for those who take part in, or are interested in, amateur theatre which in general terms is theatre where the performers are not paid when they perform. 

There are two categories of member - National Centre Member or Associate Member and the two categories are outlined below. If you complete this form for either category, your responses will be considered by the Secretariat and AITA/AITA Council, and the Secretariat will let you know the outcome. All members pay an annual fee and will be invoiced at the start of the calendar year. 

Before you complete this form, it is recommended that you familiarise yourself with the AITA/IATA Constitution which can be found HERE. There are four categories of fee for all members which are based on the UN HDI Index. More information about the Index can be found HERE. To note that the ten countries at the bottom of the top three categories fall into the Category below when calculating the fee level. If you would like to know the fee for your country, please contact the secretariat HERE.

National Centre Member - is a network, a concentrator of activities, local and global, working proactively in the field of amateur theatre. It is an official body representing amateur theatre activity on a national level or in a self-governing territory, which is part of a country. See HERE for more information. Please complete Sections 2, 3 and 5 below.

Associate Member  - can be any institution, festival, drama group or individual in any country. Representatives of the group can attend and speak at the AITA/IATA General Assembly (which may be online, or in person and or hybrid) and carries one vote. You will have priority access to AITA/IATA organised festivals and events. See HERE for more information. Please complete Sections 2, 4 and 5 below. 

What next? - you must complete the appropriate section of the Application Form below before we will consider you or your organisation's suitability to become an AITA/IATA member. Once suitability has been confirmed, you will then be given a member number and sent an invoice with details of how to pay the fee which must be in Euros. 

The Fee - payment can only be made either to the AITA/IATA bank account or by PayPal. Details will be sent in an invoice once your suitability has been confirmed.
