On New Year’s Day 2006, our baseball community lost one of its favorite sons when Josh Hojnacki lost his life in a car accident. Josh will always be remembered as one of the most competitive and talented players to grace our community and the leagues he played in, including Salmon Creek Little League. His infectious smile and love of the game were always on the field with him. In honor of Josh’s memory, Josh’s friends and family wanted to make sure that any child who wanted to play baseball had the ability to do so, regardless of their family’s financial situation. So in 2006, SCLL created the Josh Hojnacki Scholarship Fund in hopes that every child has the opportunity to catch Josh’s infectious smile and experience his love of baseball.
