This study will research the current accessibility of libraries and archives for patrons with various disabilities. This study is IRB approved through the University of Wyoming. This study was created out of the author's work with the SAA Taskforce that revised and created protocols for working with individuals with disabilities. There has not been a comprehensive study done in recent years evaluating users of these types of institutions.

This survey will provide the authors with basic information to better understand if the respondent qualifies for a virtual interview. The risk involved in this study is minimal. This study is looking specifically for users of archives who have some form of disability. If you are currently employed at an archive or library please do not participate in this survey. For the purpose of this study, we consider disability to be a broad aspect of a persons identity. We define disability as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) definition of  “a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities." This includes people with and/or/all of the following: invisible, visible, and temporary disabilities, or chronic conditions.
