Please use your best sounding playback equipment and make a point to, as much as possible, just listen to the music and not simply let it be background music to other activities.

Listening Tip: Lester Young had a very legato style of phrasing and emphasized the arc of musical lines by changing the volume and tone within each passage he played. Also notice how Lester Young uses rhythmic and melodic embellishments throughout his solo as well as in the opening melody.
