SIGN UP for FLOHA Explore Hike on March 20th

Come join the Friends of the Lower Haw River SNA on March 20th at 2:00 pm for an Explore Hike above the Haw River dam, along the northwest side of 15-501 South. This 82 acre section contains a variety of habitats, from river bottomland to mixed hardwood and pine forest. Trails in this area are informal and the hike will include a rock hopping creek crossing.

Meet at the large parking lot located adjacent to the bridge over the Haw on the northwest side of 15-501 South. The hike will be easy, mostly along level ground, but may have muddy spots and will include a creek crossing. Sturdy closed toed shoes are recommended. There are no restroom facilities in this area. We will be out and about for at least an hour.
