Civic Ensemble is embarking on our next community-based play, exploring the question, "What does it mean to be well?" In collaboration with Minnesota-based playwright Katie Ka Vang, we will develop this new play over this year to come and produce it locally in 2022.

We are exploring wellness as it relates to the physical and mental state, as well as a community’s wellness in relation to racism, poverty, and inequality. Who has access to healthcare, to healthy food, to healing modalities, to the belief that one can be well? How do the wounds of oppression live in the body and in a community?

Please join us in the development of this project! Share your stories and hear those of others in story circle gatherings.

We are hosting two story circles ONLINE (zoom):
1) Saturday, Dec 4 from 3:00pm-5:00pm - Open to everyone in our community
2) Monday, Dec 6 from 5:30pm-7:30pm - Open to health & wellness practitioners of color.
