In this age of virtual church there are a few new expectations to keep our young people safe online and abide by our safety policy. Please read the following list, talk with your children/youth about it and check each box to acknowledge that you will. *

Chat box expectations will be a part of each class covenant

The RE teacher/Zoom host does not replace parent supervision. If you normally check in while your child is online, continue to do that.

Use your child/youth first name in the profile so that we can quickly identify who is in the waiting room.

Children and youth must be appropriately dressed as they may be asked to stand up. (PJs are A-OK!) :)

Try to set aside space. Walking around the house or doing other things during class can be a distraction to your class. It can also potentially risk the privacy of another household member.

As much as possible, keep your video on. I know this is not ideal for some, I understand, its OK. Some kids have found that a blanket, a fan or a book can provide a screen to hide behind while still being present. It's ok to look away from the screen or even point the camera away from you!

Zoom hosts will not record without prior permission

Participants should not screen capture, record or take photos of other participants

DO NOT share Zoom links outside of UUCK families. If a friend would like to join RE, that's great! Send your friend to Colleen so they can register.
