SJI Youth Activists - Fall 2021 - Application
This fall our Social Justice Immersion Youth Activists will be organizing for action! This is a place to practice strategies and explore different roles we can play in the social change ecosystem. In our moves towards social change we center healing and joy. This group is for highly dedicated individuals passionate about social change and the drive to grow movement. We will be meeting with community leaders, members and organizers to discuss and mobilize the needs of our Tompkins County community.
This program is for Black, Indigenous, and youth of color ages 14 - 19 who are passionate about community organizing and activism.
This program runs Sept 27 - Nov 19 (8 weeks) on Tuesdays & Thursdays 4 pm - 6:30pm.
We will be meeting in several locations downtown and at the Youth Farm Project's Farm located at 24 Nelson Road, Ithaca, NY 14850
Participants will get a $350 stipend at the end of the program.
This program will be held in-person. Most of our time is spent outdoors. We follow a COVID-19 protocol including social distancing and masking to keep our participants safe.
